The short version
Sidapa Pendant is built to be quiet. Your blank selections, motif browsing, Silhouette Set placements, Bench Preferences, Note Detail reflections, and Keepsake Case contents live in the app's own storage area on your phone. We do not run advertising networks, we do not build behavioural profiles, and we do not sell anything about you.
Who we are
Sidapa Pendant is published by Emma Sanders, an independent publisher operating a small carving studio workflow. Where data protection law uses the term, Emma Sanders is the controller for the limited personal information described in Stage 04.
You can reach us at any time at emma.sanders31@gmail.com. There is no support call centre; messages are read by the same small team that carves the work.
What stays on your device
Most of what the app remembers never travels anywhere. It is written to your device's private app storage, which other apps cannot read, and which is removed when you uninstall Sidapa Pendant.

What you send us on a Commission Slip
A commission is a physical object made by a person and shipped to an address. That requires real details. When you submit a Commission Slip, the following is transmitted to the studio and stored in our order records:
- Your name and an email address, so we can reach you about the piece.
- A shipping address, once the piece is ready to leave the studio.
- Commission specifics — the chosen blank, motif, silhouette placement, Cord Fitting selections, and any instructions you write on the slip.
- Queue position data — the timestamps needed for Carve Queue, Wait Progress, and Slip Sent to show accurate status.
We use this information solely to carve, finish, and ship your commission and to answer you about it. The legal basis, where the GDPR applies, is performance of a contract with you; for replies to your emails it is our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us.
The Carving Wall and what others can see
The Carving Wall shows active commissions together so that people who value handmade work can follow it. This is the one place where something you did can be visible to another user, so we keep it narrow:
- A wall entry shows the piece — blank, motif, current finish stage, and stage imagery — not your identity.
- A display name is shown only if you enter one yourself. Leave it blank and the entry appears unattributed.
- Bench notes on the wall are written by the carver about technique. Your Note Detail reflections are private and are never published.
- You can remove your commission from the Carving Wall at any time in the app, or by emailing us. Removal does not affect the carving itself.
What we do not collect
Stated plainly, so there is no ambiguity. Sidapa Pendant does not:
- contain advertising SDKs, ad identifiers, or third-party tracking pixels;
- collect precise or approximate location, contacts, calendars, call logs, or messages;
- build a behavioural or advertising profile of you;
- sell, rent, or share personal information with data brokers;
- read files outside the app's own storage, except a photo you deliberately choose to attach;
- record audio or use the microphone.
Camera and photo-library access, if requested, is asked for only at the moment you choose to attach a reference image to a Commission Slip, and can be declined without losing access to the rest of the app.
Stage images, Keepsake Case, and diagnostics
Stage Walk and Carve Bench imagery is produced by the studio and delivered to your device. When a commission completes, those frames are saved into your Keepsake Case so the record survives even if you go offline. Copies you export or share leave our control entirely and are governed by wherever you send them.
If the app crashes, your mobile platform may send Apple or Google a technical crash report under its own policy. If we enable an in-app diagnostics option, it is off by default, is described plainly before you turn it on, and reports only device model, operating system version, and the error itself — never the contents of your slips or notes.
How long we keep things

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable form. For on-device data you can exercise most of this yourself, immediately, without asking us.
For anything held in our order records, write to emma.sanders31@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking. If you are in the EEA or UK and are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing for a "Do Not Sell" request to switch off.
Children
Sidapa Pendant is intended for adults who can enter into a purchase. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that threshold), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has submitted a Commission Slip, contact us and we will delete the record.
Changes to this policy
If the app's behaviour changes, this document changes with it. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes — for example, if we ever introduced an account system or a new processor — will be announced in the app before they take effect, and never applied retroactively to information already collected.
